We are a young church and we don’t own our own building yet. Northside Church is kindly allowing us to rent their facility as we pray and plan for a more permanent gathering space. With that said, we’re not in a rush to secure a permanent space. For now, we’re content to worship on Sunday afternoons in the location God has provided for us as we reach our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Visiting a new church for the first time can feel a bit intimidating. We want to do our best to make you feel loved and cared for. When you arrive, you can expect to be greeted by friendly faces who will help you find your way around!

Our worship gathering typically lasts around 90 minutes. Each week we worship together by reading the Bible, praying, singing songs, and hearing the preaching of God’s Word.

We want you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in! Your presence is most important to us. With that said, you’ll find that most of our congregation is in casual or business-casual attire.

You’re certainly welcome to bring a Bible or a notebook if you’d like, but you’re not required to bring anything! The Bible translation we typically use in our worship services is the English Standard Version (ESV). We have ESV Bibles available each week for you to use during the service. If you don’t have a Bible or only have a different translation, you’re welcome to take one home as our gift to you!

Your kids can actually stay with you during our worship gathering! At Greater Glory Church, we firmly believe the church is not just for adults. We truly love and value kids. It brings us great joy to sing, receive God’s Word, and pray together in the presence of our children.

We chose our name because we believe it captures our greatest desire: to see God glorified in all of Detroit and to the ends of the earth.

The Bible compels us to declare God’s glory among the nations and his marvelous works among all peoples (Psalm 96:3). We firmly believe God is worthy of greater glory, and he receives greater glory when we turn from our sin, trust in his Son, worship him, and tell others about his marvelous gift of salvation.
