Pursuing Membership
Our church is committed to living together as a family of sinners, saved by grace, and united in Christ. We believe church membership is a biblical practice that clarifies and confirms our commitment to one another as spiritual brothers and sisters. We would love for you to consider joining our church family!
Our Membership Process
We would love for you to become a member of our church family! We require prospective members of Greater Glory Church to walk through the following four-step process.
Step One: Attend a Membership Class
All prospective members are required to attend one of our membership classes. These classes are held regularly, and they cover several topics, including:
- Our Beliefs
- Our Mission, Vision, and Priorities
- Our Leadership Structure
- Our Commitments to One Another
Step Two: Meet with a Pastor
Upon completing the membership class, the prospective member will meet with a pastor/elder to review basic information and share God’s converting work in his or her life. After affirming the church’s confession of faith and church covenant, the application would then go to the elders.

Step Three: Pastoral Recommendation
At a regularly scheduled elders’ meeting, the pastor/elder who met with the prospective member will review the membership application with the other elders.
Upon receiving the approval of the elders, the candidate’s application would proceed to the next step: congregational affirmation.
Step Four: Congregational Affirmation
During a regularly scheduled members’ meeting, an elder/pastor will present all candidates for membership to the congregation. Questions are welcomed, and then a vote is taken. With a majority in favor, the candidate(s) will be joyfully welcomed into membership.
Our Statement of Faith
What we believe as a church is not unique to us, but it is the most important thing about us. Our Statement of Faith summarizes what we collectively believe as a church. Each member of Greater Glory Church must affirm our statement of faith when joining the church.
Our Membership Covenant
If our Statement of Faith summarizes what we believe as a church, then our Church Covenant summarizes how we intend to live as a church. We believe the church is a family. Our Covenant lays out the promises we make to one another as members of one family.
